What happens to what you send us

What the form collects

The inquiry form on the contact page asks for four things. Your name, your email address, your phone number and your message. That is everything it collects. Nothing is gathered in the background.

Where it goes, which is nowhere on its own

This website has no mail server behind it. When you press the button on the inquiry form, nothing is transmitted. The page tells you so plainly, and it offers you two ways to finish: call the phone number, or open your own email program with what you typed already filled in. If you choose the second one, your own email program sends the message, from your own address, and the owner receives it in her inbox at shadyoaktrail@yahoo.com. She reads it and answers you. Your details are used to reply to your inquiry and for nothing else. They are never sold, rented or traded.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics service, no advertising pixel and no session recording. Two things on these pages are served by Google rather than by us: the two typefaces come from Google Fonts, and the map on the contact page is a Google Maps embed. Your browser contacts Google to fetch those, Google sees your address and can set its own cookies when it does, and that is outside our control. Everything else on this site is served from this site.

Booking

Sending the form does not hold a cabin and it is not a reservation. Cabins are booked on the phone. Call 870-356-9823 during office hours, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

How long it is kept, and how to have it removed

Inquiries sit in the owner's email inbox for as long as she keeps them, the same as any other email. If you would like your inquiry deleted, call 870-356-9823 or write to shadyoaktrail@yahoo.com and ask. It will be deleted.

Children

This website is not aimed at children and the form is not meant to be filled in by them.

The Facebook page and the fishing guide websites linked from this site are run by other people. Once you follow one of those links you are on their website and their privacy practices apply, not ours.

Changes to this page

If any of this changes, the new version will replace what is on this page.
